There are some spectacular natural sites in the world that only a few people get to see in their lifetime. These are selected by a global poll every year. The seven best sights are chosen that outrank the other splendid sights. The current seven wonders of nature are the Northern Lights, The Grand Canyon, Paricutin, Mount Everest, Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Victoria Falls and the Great Barrier Reef. Some of these sites require an aerial view as it is not possible to travel to those sites.
The Northern Lights: Aurora Borealis
These beautiful lights are a sensation for tourists traveling to the northern Hemisphere. They are called Norther lights or auroras that occur naturally. The lights have a mystifying display of light in the sky. They emanate a diffused glow all along the northern hemisphere. The intensity of these lights increases as you travel more towards the north. They appear the best around the magnetic pole in the Artic. But these lights appear randomly and a traveler might not get the chance to see them at all. They are mostly seen in Canada’s far north, Alaska, Iceland, Finland, Sweden or Norway. They are more visible during the winter months, as the darker skies in winter make it easier to notice them.
The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon are massive and colorful landscapes that provide breathtaking views that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Some tourists travel to the Southern rim of the Grand Canyon to spend a full day admiring the rocky views. You can even head down into the canyon for a hiking trail.
